» Thulite
Thulite mining in Norway

Thulite is a rare mineral belonging to the Zoisite group, and therefore is related to Tanzanite. The name derives from the mystical island ‘Thule’, which marked the outermost northern edge of the world in ancient times.

This color-rich, pink Thulite is only found in significant quantities in Norway. The most notable Thulite occurrence is located in Trondheim, Norway and is carefully mined by hand by Hausen Rock Treasures Wholesale Inc. The mining site is only accessible by foot and is located on a picturesque plateau, which is surrounded by swampy bogs.

Since the borders of Norway were closed due to Covid-19, we were not able to mine Thulite for a year. Due to a lack of stock, we unfortunately could not send rough stones for processing. As a result, we have very few processed products this year.

For the first time, we are pleased to offer nugget bead strands and a larger amount of spheres with diameters of 2" or greater for sale.
Of course we still offer 4mm/ 6 mm / 8 mm / 10 mm and 12 mm round bead strands, drop bead pendants, hearts, and a few more products with a smaller inventory.

Colorful Tumbled Stones Mix

Tumbled stones are a very common product in the stone industry. Amazingly, the demand rose extremely during the past 2 years.

The production of tumbled stones needs time and machines. Currently, all the factories worldwide are working to their limit on production, and we were waiting for our orders for many months. Additional problems arose with the supply of raw stones for the tumbling factories.

Nevertheless, we were able to buy over 15t (33,000 lb!) of tumbled stones from different countries which are on the way to Tucson. We can't currently promise that everything will be here in time, but we pray that it will be.

Besides the popular regular sizes, we also should receive some mini/micro tumbled stones. These special items in smaller sizes we bought from a factory closeout in Brazil. We will have extremely competitive offers starting at about $2/lb (yes, tumbled - no rough!).

The rough stones need to run for several days in steel drums until they have the desired shape. More then 50% of the rough stone material gets lost during this process.

» Sieber Agate
Sieber Achat - Lealand Blue

Starting from the Middle Ages in Saxonia/Germany copper ore was mined and melted. Usually, slag from the melting process is just black or grey.

For an unknown reason, part of this slag from one specific location turned into blue colors. This material - also called "lealand blue" - has amazing lines and structures from the flow of the original hot slag. A similar occurrence at the "Sieber" River in Germany gave the name "Sieber Agate".

There are a few other occurrences of "lealand blue",  but most of the material has too many holes/cracks to be worked into jewelry.

We were able to get some unique jewelry items like bead strands, donuts, drop bead pendants and nugget bracelets for you!

This is exclusive merchandise that will upgrade your shop!
